Kaltura Capture

What is Kaltura Capture?

Kaltura Capture is a video capture tool which runs natively on both PC and Mac. The tool allows you to capture PowerPoint presentations, make screen recordings, webcam recordings, or just voice recordings.

How do I add media using Kaltura Capture?

  1. In the upper right corner of the page, select +Add New and choose Kaltura Capture to obtain the Kaltura Capture install file.
  2. Choose to download and install for Windows or Mac, as needed.
  3. After installing Kaltura Capture, when you select it again from the +Add New list, the Kaltura Capture application will automatically open. Another option is to open the application directly from your computer.
  4. Enable the features that you'd like to use in any configuration that you'd like to use them:
    • Screen
    • Webcam
    • Voice
  5. Click on the Start Recording button to begin recording.
  6. After stopping the recording, there will be an option to Save & Upload; this will automatically upload the recording into MediaSpace.
  7. After uploading the media, it will take some time to process and will not be viewable immediately; this is normal.
